It is surrounded by the sea on three sides with the steep slopes of Mt. Soledad at its back. You’ll enjoy paddling past sandy beaches, sea caves and cliffs with plenty of opportunities for spotting wildlife including garibaldis, dolphins, leopard sharks and sea lions. The beach and cove provide some protection from the waves but be prepared to navigate some choppy waters.
Mission Bay Park
San Diego, CA
Stretch along 27 miles of San Diego coastline, Misson Bay Park is the largest man-made aquatic park in the US. The park covers more than 4,000 acres, half of which is water, giving kayakers, paddleboarders and surfers plenty of opportunities for fun. Paddlers will enjoy calm, flat waters along with a network of tiny islands and clear blue channels to explore.
Coronado Beach

Just across the bay from downtown San Diego, Coronado has been voted best beach in the US multiple times. Its golden, sandy beaches sparkle under the San Diego sun.
